Soal meminta untuk mengubah kalimat menjadi pengandaian/conditional sentence type 2. Kalimat soal "You ... (not get) into all this difficulty if you ... (be) more beware." berarti "Kamu ... (tidak masuk) ke dalam semua kesulitan ini jika kamu ... (be) lebih berhati-hati." Conditional sentence type 2 digunakan untuk menyatakan kegiatan atau aksi yang bertentangan dengan kenyataan sehingga mustahil terjadi. Rumus : S + would + V1 + O + If + S + V2 + O. Untuk bagian awal rumus kalimatnya S + would + V1 + O. Maka kalimatnya menjadi "You would not get into all this difficulty ..." Kemudian pada bagian akhir rumus kalimatnya If + S + V2 + O. V2 dari "be" adalah "were" karena subjeknya adalah "you". Sehingga kalimatnya menjadi "if you were more beware".
