Ibnu sina (often known by his latin name, Aviscenna) was born in AH 370/AD 980 near bikhara in Central Asia. Ibnu Sina's father was governor of a village in one of Nuh Ibnu Mansur's estates. As a child, Ibnu Sina was a remarkable child with a memory and ability to to learn which amazed the scholars who met in his father home. By the age of ten, he had memorized the Qur'an and most of Arabic poetry which he had read. When he reached the age of thirteen, he began to study medicine and he had mastered that subjects by the age of sixteen when he began to treat patients.

With his skill medicine, he was able to cure Nuh Ibnu Mansug the Samanid ruler. Thus, he was allowed to use the royal library of the Samanids which proved important for Ibnu Sina's development in the whole range of scholarship.

After the reign of Samanids ended, and the death of his father, Ibnu Sina's life changed completely. He began a life wandering round different towns of Khorasan. acting as physician and administrator by the day while every evening he gathered students round him for philosophical and scientific discussion.
