One night,  howling winds and crashing waves awakened the rural people on the south bank of Temasek. Dark clouds blocked  the light of the moon and stars, turning the world into total darkness. It was as if Temasek Island was swallowed up by the raging sea. The terrified villagers knelt down in prayer. 

 At that moment, a bright light was observed emanating from the southern sea. A gigantic creature half lion and half fish roared in anger. The  sky was filled with lightning, and the battle between wild and mysterious animals and nature was fierce. The villagers have never seen such a horrific phenomenon.

The wind stopped after a while. The waves subsided and the sky began to clear. The giant sea monster has won the battle with nature. When proclaiming victory, Plow was proudly standing on Mount Pulau Belakang Mati (Sentosa Island). By morning, the Merlion had receded into the body of water, leaving a brightly colored mark on the track.
