The Legend of Cianjur Once upon a time, there was a farmer named Mr. Pelit. Pak Pelit was the head of the village and he was also the richest man there. He owned alot of paddy fields. All the villagers worked as farmers for him, because they did not have their own paddy fields. The villagers called him Mr. Pelit because he was very stingy and selfish. What did Mr. Pelit think was only his belonging and his wealthy. Mr. Pelit had a son, his name was Budiman. Unlike Mr. Pelit , Budiman was very generous to the villager. That's why people called him Budiman. It was harvest time. According to their belief, the villagers had to hold a party to welcome the harvest. If not, the harvest would fail. They would not have good rice. The farmers then asked Mr. Pelit to hold a party. At first Mr. Pelit didn't agree. But he was afraid, he would not get good rice. Then they had a party. Suddenly an old woman came and asked for some food. Budiman saw her, then he secretly took some food and gave it to the old woman.
