Namun, ada perbedaan yang sangat mencolok di antara keduanya yaitu jika Descriptive Text menggunakan istilah - istilah yang umum dan orang awam dapat memahaminya, sebaliknya Report Text menggunakan istilah - istilah yang berbau ilmiah karena merupakan merupakan teks yang dibuat berdasarkan hasil riset atau penelitian.
